PassportPro Malaysia is a mobile application that transforms your photos into government-compliant Malaysian passport photos. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

Data We Collect

Camera Access

• What: Access to your device camera
• Why: To take your passport photo directly within the app
• Storage: Photos are processed in memory only and not saved to our servers permanently

Photo Library Access

• What: One-time access to select existing photos
• Why: To allow you to choose an existing photo for your passport photo
• Storage: Selected photos are processed once and not stored on our servers

Email Address

• What: Your email address when you purchase a photo
• Why: To deliver your processed passport photo to you
• Storage: Email addresses are used solely for delivery and are not stored after successful delivery

How We Use Your Data

1. Photo Processing: Your photos are sent to our secure servers for processing, which includes face detection and alignment, background removal using GPU-accelerated AI processing, and cropping/resizing to official Malaysian passport photo dimensions.
2. Email Delivery: Your email address is used only to send your purchased passport photos. We do not use your email for marketing purposes.
3. Crash Reporting: We collect anonymous crash reports to improve app stability. These reports do not contain any personal information or photos.

Data Sharing

Third-Party Services

• Photo Processing (RunPod): Photos are processed using secure GPU servers. All data is transmitted via HTTPS and deleted within 24 hours of processing.
• Crash Reporting (Sentry): Anonymous crash data is sent to Sentry for debugging. No personal data, photos, or email addresses are included.

What We Do NOT Do

• We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties
• We do NOT use your data for marketing purposes
• We do NOT share your photos with third parties except for processing
• We do NOT store your photos permanently

Data Retention

Your Rights

Since we do not store personal data persistently, there is nothing to delete. Each session is independent and leaves no trace on our servers. If you have any concerns about your data, please contact us.

Data Security

• HTTPS Encryption: All data transmission is encrypted
• No Persistent Storage: Photos are processed in memory only
• Secure API Keys: All API keys are stored securely
• Server-Side Validation: Payment receipts are validated server-side only

Children's Privacy

PassportPro Malaysia is designed for general audiences and can be used by anyone needing a passport photo. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has used our app, please contact us.

This app complies with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA):

In-App Purchases

All purchases within the app are processed through Apple App Store (Apple Pay) for iOS. We do not process payments directly and do not have access to your payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple.
